The legend of the Polish counter scene, Filip "NEO" Kubski, successfully passed the trial period in the FaZe team, which was to be expected after winning three consecutive titles in CS2.
FaZe Clan became a dominant force at the start of the CS2 era of esports, winning three consecutive tournaments, two of which were on LAN, including the first and only Tier 1 tournament so far at IEM Sydney 2023.
NEO, who has competed in CS esports for over 20 years, took up the position of coach at FaZe in July of this year and went through IEM Cologne, Gamers8 and the 18th season of the ESL Pro League with them before the game moved to the new version. In those tournaments, FaZe did not make a name for themselves and in all three they failed in their attempt to fight for the playoffs, and soon there were various unfavorable rumors about the team, such as those that the entire organization would be sold and that the team might be torn apart, as well as da Russel Twistzz" Van Dulken is leaving for Team Liquid.
Despite all the unfavorable things that surrounded FaZe, they forcefully open the CS2 era of counters. The victory in Sydney, then at the online tournament Thunderworld Pick Championship and just ten days ago at the CS Asian Championship event, FaZe Clan rose to the convincing first place in the HLTV world ranking list.
When taking into account their success and the fact that NEO has signed a contract with the team, fans are slowly becoming optimistic that the team will still stay together and that the organization will be sold, at least the majority of the team in case the departure of Twistzz is already completed thing.
FaZe warmed up well for the upcoming challenges, and from Wednesday we can see them at the BLAST Premier Fall Finals, where they will play against Ninjas in Pajamas in Group A in the first round.
