Team Vitality advanced to the semifinals of the PGL Copenhagen Major with a convincing 2-0 win against Cloud9.
The reigning Major champions opened the playoffs with a bang, showing absolute dominance in the match against Cloud9. The Russian team managed to put up a fight in the first half of the first map, after which they took a total of four rounds by the end of the match.
The first quarter-final clash opened on Inferno, Vitality's pick, and it was Cloud9 who opened the match better and took a 6-3 lead, before Vitality managed to consolidate and force a tie at halftime.
In the continuation, Vitality took the initiative with an excellent T side, they took seven of the nine rounds in the continuation and reached the first map with a 13-8 victory.
Inferno's second half was clearly a prelude to what followed, which was an even better Vitality T side, this time on Anubis, where they built a 10-2 lead at halftime and then routinely closed out the match by tying up three more rounds for convincing 13-2.
Shahar "flameZ" Shushan especially stood out in the match with 35 frags, 105.2 damage per round and 1.59 rating.
In the semi-finals, Vitality will play against the better team in the big derby, Team Spirit - FaZe Clan.
