PARTIZAN RELEASES CS2 TEAM

Four months after the black and whites returned to Counter-Strike, information comes from the popular esports organization that they parted ways with the five that represented them.

Let us remind you that in August of last year, Partizan entered CS:GO esports for the first time and in the following period they managed to break into the top 30 teams in the world, but due to high maintenance costs, they had to stop the project.

In July, they started a new team made up mostly of young talented players from this area, which consisted of:

Nikola "RiiL3" Ristic
Lazar "baxter" Stojkovic
Milutin "Consume" Jovanović
Andrej "leo" Nikolovski
Xaver "xavi" Hebok

The team was formed during the awkward transition period from CS:GO to the CS2 version of the game, and in the end we didn't even manage to see the team in action at one of the bigger tournaments.

RLG contacted Partizan in order to get more information, and the president of the esports organization, Jovan Mijailović, revealed to us the reason why the cooperation was terminated. Namely, he mentioned that currently the only ways to finance Partizan Esport are sponsors and donations, and that, like most organizations from the region, they primarily depend on sponsors. Unfortunately, some of the sponsors at the last moment gave up on extending the cooperation, new ones did not appear on time, which is why the only remaining option was shutting down the team.

He added that despite the financial difficulties, all players were paid for the full period they spent in Partizan, as well as that they were informed in a timely manner about the termination of cooperation.

The Black and Whites are not the only ones who withdrew from CS esports this year, in July iNation had to disband their team, a team that was also the first Serbian team at the EU RMR Major qualifiers, while 4glory Esports also withdrew in July last year .
