OG released an official statement today that Dion "FASHR" Derksen will no longer be playing for them and that he has been allowed to find a new team.
FASHR leaves OG after only four months in the team. He joined the team at the end of June, at the same time when Nemanja "nexa" Isaković returned to the first lineup and when Mills "k1to" Gruhne and Iulian "regali" Harjau also came.
In the period that followed, OG played two big LAN tournaments, IEM Cologne and the group stage of autumn BLAST, but without much success, as well as in several qualifiers for big tournaments where they failed to get a place in some of the stronger competitions.
Their last major online tournament in the current lineup was the Roobet Cup 2023 where they reached the quarterfinals, and then they also played the eighth series of the CCT Central Europe competition where they were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.
Considering the rumors that nexa could be returning to G2, as well as several other players potentially on the verge of leaving the team, it begs the question of whether OG will continue to compete in the counter, and if so, what kind of im plans to almost completely reorganize the team again after a very short period of time.
