MiBR and Wildcard are the first two teams in the US RMR qualifiers for the Perfect World Shanghai Major to earn a spot in the tournament, finishing the qualifiers with a 3-0 record.
Wildcard is perhaps the biggest surprise of the qualifiers so far, as few considered them favorites to advance, but they successively defeated Team Liquid, paiN Gaming and finally 9z Team for great success. The team led by veteran Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz played the entire RMR tournament very well, finishing without a lost map.
Today they beat 9z 2-0, 16-14 after overtime on Nuke and then 13-6 on Inferno.
After a failure at the last RMR tournament, MiBR managed to reach its first placement at the CS2 Major, and the players did not hide their satisfaction after a great victory against the Complexity team. He led MiBR 13-9 with a win on his Nuke pick, and then they were able to celebrate on Vertigo with a narrow 13-11 score.
Nouns and Case said goodbye to the Major qualifiers. Nouns lost to KRU 1-2, while Case lost to RED Canids by the same score.
In the 1-1 team matches, FURIA destroyed BOSS 13-1, and we saw convincing victories in the other matches as well. Liquid won 13-4 against BESTIA, M80 surprised Legacy 13-5, and with the same result, paiN beat Imperial in the big Brazilian derby, who will have to fight for survival.
Tomorrow we watch three matches to advance to the Major:
