The news of sh1ro's departure from Cloud9 surprised the fans last night, and already today Cloud9 had to cope with the change and play at the Thunderpick World Championship. The team will be helped by Boombl4, a player who has been linked to Cloud9 on several occasions in the previous weeks, but it seems that negotiations have stopped and this transfer has stopped being talked about.
We're not sure if there's really been an outage or just no new concrete rumors, but now we've got concrete confirmation that Boombl4 is connected to Cloud9 in some way, it remains to be seen if his gameplay as a change will take it to the next level and whether he will stay with the team over time.
If that happens, of course the first question that arises is - who will take over the role of AWPer in the team? For now, in today's match against Fnatic, that role has been taken by Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy, who, as can be heard on several different sides, has been practicing and playing with the sniper for some time.
If Perfecto settles into his new role, maybe Cloud9 won't need to find a new player, especially since that would most likely mean the departure of Abay "HObbit" Khassenov, who performed well in Sydney and continues to play well (he just made 24 frags on Ancient vs. Fnatic).
